Knotted Thread-Red by Akiko Ikeuchi.
FW11 by Tze Goh.
Goh has been labeled as the one to watch by Vaxuhall Fashion Scouts, where he among three other designers showed his fall/winter 2011 collections.
Architectural shapes, sculptural shapes, are his most significant expression in his pure aesthetics. It is also his greatest inspiration. He’s often inspired by contemporary architectures such as Frank Gehry or, for his spring 2011 collection, Zaha Hadid. He always includes his inspiration when presenting the collections on his website.
How he creates these distorted still clean lines might be a mystery. But as a matter of fact, he basically bond jersey with rubber, which creates the oversized shapes with the smooth surface. Minimal, yet complex. That’s the definition of a true minimalist.
